A reflective taiga series that strips away vivid colour to reveal the subtle forms that matter and the quiet beauty hidden beneath the visual noise of everyday sight.
In this series of haigas, I explore my relationship with colour - I find it deeply enriching but overwhelming at times, and find myself unwittingly tuning colour out to see the form that lies beneath. Haiga is a Japanese art form that combines poetry in the 'haiku' form, accompanied by a drawing, painting, or, in this case, a picture.

Symphony of sight.
Orchestra of wavelengths.
Listen with your eyes.

Vivid songs of sight.
Form drowned by overwhelming
colour ensembles.

Desaturated world.
Dazzle of colours silenced.
Form serenades me.
